It is said that the stones still dance under the moonlight. But what does a stone think of, over the centuries?

Over the summer I came across the stories of The Longstone, and from there got caught up reading myths and lore about other ancient stones, like The Merry Maidens. When I nominated them as a fandom for yuletide I figured it was the longest if long shots, so was pleasantly surprised to see other people requesting it and beyond delighted to receive this fabulous story.

It takes the idea of the lore and weaves a wonderful story about the women lost to stone. A beautiful glimpse of their inner lives and the different ways they've coped through the years and how they all feel. It's an amazing take on the idea, and I am so happy it was written for me.

I Kissed A Boy (1362 words) by Anonymous

If Ancient Stones were my new love, then Blackpool is most definitely amongst my oldest loves. This show has had a grip on my heart since I first watched it, and I go back to the dvds at least once a year as it never fails to make me happy.

Getting a treat for this fandom was a wonderful surprise, and this is a great take on canon mixed with some of my favourite tropes. It's a gloriously fun read, and the song chouce is just perfect.
